For a wider mattress, used runners can be exchanged for suitable ones. Slats can be ordered accordingly. A child can grow into a 90 cm bed and then grow up with it – the bed adapts to different needs and can be expanded or reduced as required. Our slot-together bed is carefully crafted by carpenter Lucian Kopp from regional wood.

Care instructions

Regularly dust with a soft cloth or brush. Stains can be removed with a slightly damp cloth; steam/dents can be plumped back up with a little moisture. Iron felt inserts if necessary.

Assembly instructions

No tools, no screws: runners and rungs are slotted together and padded with felt to reduce noise. The complete assembly usually takes less than 15 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How high should a stacking bed be?

Classic beds have a sleeping height of 30–45 cm. Our plug-in bed is available in 11 cm (low to the ground, minimalist, easily accessible) or 21 cm (closer to the standard bed height). Both versions share the same construction – only the runners differ.

Which wood is suitable for my platform bed?

Fir and maple are light and soft, ash is somewhat harder with a visible grain, pear is warm pink, and oak is the most robust and darkest. All five are untreated and will age over time – the choice is primarily a matter of aesthetics.

How do I care for my bed cover?

Dust regularly with a soft cloth or brush. Stains can be removed with a slightly damp cloth; steam/dents can be plumped back up with a little moisture. Iron felt inserts if necessary.

How does the setup process work?

No tools, no screws required: runners and rungs are slotted together and padded with felt to dampen noise. Complete assembly generally takes less than 15 minutes.

Are there custom sizes and other types of wood available?

Yes – upon request, we can also manufacture custom dimensions and other wood types. Existing runners can also be exchanged for a wider size later on.
