Easy to assemble
No screws, dowels or glue: the Steckbett simply slots together in minutes. Felt inserts cushion the joints, and the bed is just as easy to take apart again.
A solid fir bed that adapts to new rooms and life stages. Easily disassembled for moving, adjustable in height and width, and expandable from a single bed to a family bed.
To accommodate a wider or narrower mattress, the existing supports can be exchanged for the appropriate size. Slats can be added or removed depending on the required width. A child grows into a 90 cm bed – and then simply keeps growing with it. The height of the bed can also be adjusted later using the corresponding conversion kit. The Steckbett adapts to new spaces, stages of life and changing needs.
Wood is a natural material, making every bed unique. We recommend dusting it with a soft brush or cloth.
For dents or scratches, placing a hot, damp cloth on the affected area for a few minutes may help the wood fibres expand and return to their original shape. Most stains are superficial and can also be removed with a damp cloth. Avoid excessive moisture, as it may cause the wood to warp or change shape.
After disassembly, the felt inserts can be ironed before the bed is reassembled. All individual components are available to order as replacement parts.
No tools, no screws: the supports and slats simply slot together, while felt inserts cushion the joints to prevent noise (see animation in the images on the left). Assembly typically takes less than five minutes.
The package includes two load-bearing supports and the corresponding solid-wood slats, together with felt joint inserts and rubber anti-slip pads. Delivery typically takes 2–4 days and shipping is free.

Designed to change with you
The width and height can be adjusted later, allowing the bed to grow from a single bed into a family-sized bed.
Made for moving
Disassembled into individual parts, the bed is easy to transport and reassemble anywhere you go.
Quiet by design
Carefully designed felt inserts between the components keep the bed quiet and stable, even with movement, without disruptive creaking.
Repair rather than replace
Individual components can be reordered and replaced, without having to replace the entire bed.
Made from locally sourced solid wood
Crafted in Baden-Württemberg from slow-grown silver fir sourced from the Black Forest.
No separate slatted frame required
The load-bearing longitudinal slats are an integral part of the construction, so no additional slatted frame is needed.
The Steckbett is available in two mattress support heights: 11 cm and 21 cm. The lower version creates a low, minimalist look, while the higher version makes getting in and out of bed easier and feels closer to the height of a conventional bed.
The final height to the top of the mattress depends on the thickness of your mattress. With a 25 cm mattress, for example, the total height is approximately 26 or 36 cm. By comparison, conventional adult beds are often around 40–55 cm from the floor to the top of the mattress.
Both versions share the same construction; only the supports differ. The height can also be changed later using the corresponding conversion kit.
Fir and maple are lighter in colour and, whereas Fir is relatively soft and lighter. Ash is also slightly harder and has a more pronounced grain. All three woods are untreated and will develop their own patina over time, so the choice is primarily a matter of appearance.

Yes. Custom dimensions and additional wood types are available on request. The existing supports can also be exchanged later to adapt the bed to a wider mattress.
What takes decades to grow should last even longer. That’s why we design furniture from natural materials that can be disassembled, repaired and kept in use for as long as possible.
